Historical League Forming

Hello everyone,
I am going to start creating a Historical League. Let me know what your ideas are on 3 things.
1) What year would you like to start in.
2) If a certain year is established, would you like the Stadiums from that period or present day.
3) Would you want the teams to start off with the same Fan Interest (65) or should that be historical also and go by the actual city of your teams.
Just let me know what you think and anything else that you may want to add. I would like to have a league that everyone would want to get into, so it may take a while to set everytning up, but we do want a great league, right?
my email for this league will be historicalnick@yahoo.com

1) Preferably not 1950 or 1975 (got 2 leagues already with those as the current years). I think the 40's or 60's might be nice, but I would be willing to try any year...

2) Stadiums, either way, I'm easy...

3) Same fan intrerest, same market size, same brodcasting revenue... Let all teams start on an equal footing...

And MAINLY, I am VERY interested in joining once you have the rules together (or if you want help making the rules, I could try to give you some help there)...

I tihnk it'd be cool to turn the clock WAY back to turn of the century, 1920's, 1910's . . . what is that anyway? Nineteen tens? Nineteen teens?

Failing that, '60s are cool.

Stadiums would be neat if you could keep 'em in tune with the era.

I edited fan interest market sizes etc in my online league to make them all the same . . . one of the owners pointed out that's maybe not such a good idea, as the game tries to set that stuff in accordance with salary - to make sure nobody goes broke first year out on the field.

Be prepared to float a team cash if they remain largely unchanged regards their rosters but you've cut back their market size.

Also, if you're looking for good, reliable, cheap webhosting with all the trimmings, I can HIGHLY recommend CooleyVols crew, Thrifty-Host, shoot him an email or get in touch with him through www.thrifty-host.com - great service.

60's would be cool or starting in 1980.

Real stadiums would be the best.

And financials all the same.

Also if I may add no coaches and scouts!

I'm interested in joining let me know if you need assistance or anything.

I'd be very interested in joining a league which started in the 1920's or 30's. The furthest back I've been involved with was the 1960's.

Anyway, I'd also agree that stadiums from that era would be essential. I look forward to seeing a rough draft of rules and possibly becoming an owner.

Thanks,

Shawn

There were 16 teams back in the early 1900s. Is this league going anywhere, or has the idea died, like so many historical leagues in OOTP?

1920 League

This Idea has not died. There is a league in the making that will begin in 1920. I will give your name to the former of the league, if you would like.

If you start one in the late 60's or 1970 Im in. Had two 1970 leagues fold on me and Im dying to complete one. Great era. Bye the way I am in the CIBL with you. Clev. GM. Another great league that needs a couple of involved owners. Got to like the fact that sims go like clockwork in that one. Anyway, take your time, do it right and you will have a great league.
