don't know if this will help, but...
This might not help in every situation, but I have discovered that if I have made a mistake AND I know that I have made a mistake BEFORE any of the auto-save stuff happens, then I use Ctrl+Alt+Delete (Windows XP) to get the windows task manager window up and then I quit the game that way and most things when doing it that way do not get saved.
When doing that it says that the game is not responding..etc. I tell it to quit..and, that's how that works. Maybe that was already obvious to everyone, and, there are a lot of ways in which this could not be as helpful as being able to disable autosaving...but, just in case, I thought I'd mention it. |
