MOD Request? Player HTML Pages
The Commish of the ATHL and I were bantering about the player HTML pages, and I thought I would come here for help.
We moved to OOTP5 at the beginning of the 2005 season, and so all of the player HTML pages have the top 10 finishes in 2004 categories at the bottom of the player page. I was hoping to be able to edit them manually but did not realize that the game generates them each and every time. I have edited the player history .txt file but that's as far as I can go. I think the problem is that our league's history hasn't entered into OOTP% properly, as is the case with all transfers. For example, the MVP awards page is blank. The past leaders only contains 2004. Is there a way to fill in the history of the league so that it will be properly generated? Is there a way to manually edit such a thing, or a utility that lets me do that? |

The MVP and Past Leaders pages are, I believe, pulled from a couple of text files (boy.txt and hleaders.txt, respectively) which are located in the League_News_Box folder inside your league's folder.
As far as I can tell, OOTP simply appends new data to the end of these files, so you can edit the history to your heart's content. --Eriq. |

Any other help on this? It appears that you can't just edit the player history files to include past top 10 finishes. So says my commish.

Looks like the history info is contained in the .dat files, which you can't edit. Pierre's Player Editor v2 would edit them, but hasn't been updated for OOTP5 and doesn't open all fields correctly.
You really should trust your commish . . .

My commish is a cheating bastard. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him, which probably isn't far since he is fat, and smelly.
![]() I know, Matt. That's why I'm requesting a mod, or something. Stupid .dat files! |

yup - got slugged for trying to bump my post count un-necessarily. At least I learned my lesson, though.
