Sound/music

Im sure this has been asked before, but can you add music or sound to the game?

And can you get rid of some of the music right now. i hate that one music clip that has the crazy laugh....it drives ME crazy!!!

I would think that if you rename the clips you want to add to what is already in the game then that would work, however I really don't know since I don't use any of the sound, etc when I play.

Inside the main OOTP5 directory you will find a Sound folder that contains all of the music and sounds in WAV format. Simply replace these files as desired for whatever affects you are looking for.

Be wary of the music. I have had the game crash several times at the very end of a contest when the music kicks into a song while trying to save the game. Then things get complicated. The game will show up on your schedule and in the standings as a completed game, but the stats don't show up. I highly, highly recommend not using the sound. The game also runs much, much faster without it.

i don't use sound either for the above stated reasons. Anyone had any luck with sound not REALLY taxing the system?

Plenty of luck here. I didn't know sound could be a problem, so I've always played with it. Never had a thing go wrong, either.

I use sound but not music. I've come to love the little clicking and tapping sounds the menus make.

I have not had any problems with the sound other than the fact I never want to hear Billy Squier's "The Stroke" again.

Sometimes, I turn OOTP on at work and start a game and let it sit, just to hear the roar of the crowd while I work. Makes me feel good about myself.

I have used sound since day one on two different computers without any problems. There have been no noticeable slow downs either. Every thing runs as smooth as one would expect.
