Green Monsta league to expand, need 2

The Green Monsta league will be expanding next season. We are currently at the all-star break and have half a season to go until two teams are added to the National League. Two more teams will be added to the American League in two seasons to even things out again.

Of next season's expansion, one of the two expansion teams is spoken for, we have the other expansion team available as well as the Boston Brawlers franchise.

Here is the game plan for expansion:
- two teams will be added for the 1982 season. Both teams will reside in the NL, one in each division.
- the schedule will be similar to how it is now (not yet done, details to follow)
- The expansion draft will take place immediately following the "proceed to next season" and before any of the off-season activities (after players become free agents but before any signings).
- Each team will be able to protect an initial list of 16 players in their organization (can be from any level in their system).
- Each expansion team will pick two players from each existing team (32 players per expansion team).
- The picks would be handled in "rounds" with a player chosen by each team from each team before a team could select again from the same team.
- After the first round is completed, each team will be able to add 2 more players to their protected list once each expansion team has picked a player from their team.
- All existing teams will have 4 players selected from them in total (two by each of the two expansion teams).
- All existing contracts will be honored by the expansion teams.
- The revenue flow due to Broadcast rights will be increased with each wave of expansion (TBD).

- 1982 and 1983 will be played with 18 teams.
- After the 1983 season, two additional teams will be added to the AL. (same rules apply).
- The next scheduled fictional player creation will take place along with the 2nd phase of the expansion.
- The next scheduled All-Time Great player selection will take place along with the 2nd phase of the expansion as well.
- Along with the normal All-Time Great player selection, each of the four expansion teams would get a bonus ATG pick at this time.
- The division format will remain the same, but with 5 teams in each division.
- Once the four expansion teams are all added, the playoffs will expand to include a wildcard (best record for a non division winner in each league). The team with the best record getting a bye.

Green Monsta is a great league that is heading down the home stretch of its 7th season. This league has a fun concept combining players from the 70's and 80's along with a select group of owner created fictional players and All-Time Greats like Babe Ruth, Sandy Koufax, Rogers Hornsby, Ted Williams and more!

Steve is an outstanding commish and very helpful to owners. This was my first OOTP league and Steve was great in helping me get acquainted to the nuances of team management. Give this league a look, I think you'll like what you see!
