OOTP History Utility Help - Again!
All right.
I played through 1901, got things set up properly. LOVED IT! Played through 1902, same thing, everything exported properly. Im happy! I just finished 1903 (The Pirates winning their 2nd World Series in a row to go with all 3 NL Titles) and I go to get history going, I get to the screen where I change abbreviations, and what not, click exit, and then THIS message pops up : Run time error : 3021 Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested Operation requires a current record. What's wrong!!! So I tried to do it again, and, of course, at the team abbreviations screen, it's showing each team listed twice, but still no 1903!! Am I totally messed up here or what? Two things 1) This of course is the year Baltimore moved to New York, and im pretty sure that when the option came up, I did *NOT* link the Highlanders to the BLA team! Would that have caused these problems? b) I didn't back up my individual seasons, like someone specifically told me to [stupid me] so I can't run History on those seasons again *AND* to top it off, I did not back-up my .mdb file. So basically, I need to know that the problems I am now having (which are all totally my fault) can be fixed. Or do I need to start again. I can't see going through 100 years of baseball without this Utility, and Ill start *again* if I have to, and make back-ups galore this time! Once again, thanks for anyone's help, although I so OBVIOUSLY don't deserve it since Ive basically listed the many ways Ive left myself high and dry. ![]() Thanks.

Ok, well, I started again, but now, NO MATTER WHAT, I always get the
Run time error : 3021 Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested Operation requires a current record. After the team abbreviation screen. Ive tried using different versions, just about anything I can think of. At any rate, ill just be making a copy of each year and saving until I can find a solution and get everything to work, but if there is ANYONE out there who has been getting this error messages or knows what it means and can help, that would be great. Thanks.

I (almost) hate to bump this, as it seems no one knows, but the game is SO much more to we with the OOTP History, so getting an answer would be GREAT. Sorry. Just want to keep it in view.

sharpmath, I don't have an answer for you on this, but be patient. With the holidays this week, I'm thinking that a lot of people are on vacation.
Sorry!

I got the same error; you can read about it here.
I found that I had a manager in my league whose name was Harry "Hair" Austin. (Don't ask) The quotes in his name screwed up the utility when it was readying the CSV file that contains manager names, because the CSVs are exported with quotes as the field delimiters. My suggestion would be to open up your CSVs (small ones first) with a .txt editor and see if you can see anything like that.

Thanks for the response!
Ive had a look through the smaller files, and I was not able to find any (")'s that might mess things up. I haven't tackled the player file yet. I don't think I have the heart to do it right now ![]() Once again though, thank you very much for the response, it's nice to know at least someone else was having the problem. I tried searching for it on the forum, but for some reason didn't find it anywhere!

Yes Yes Yes!
It looks like it is working!! I had a few free-agents that were the problem! So assigned them a team in the .csv file, and it worked just fine (so far )Thanks SO much Gordy, your link to that previous post totally did it for me. This is great!! Thanks VERY VERY much.
