Streaks and All Star Games

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but hitting streaks are being reported on the player's page as being snapped during the all star game if a player doesn't get a hit. I know that the stats accumulated aren't added to the player's season stats but a hitting streak note is placed on the players' history so that its looks like this:

Won Player of the Week award on 6/20/1941, hitting .600 with 3 HR, 10 RBI...
Won Batter of the Month award on 7/1/1941, hitting .455 with 11 HR, 31 RBI...
Was selected to the 1941 Allstar game...
Had 31-game hitting streak snapped on 7/19/1941...
Had 33-game hitting streak snapped on 7/23/1941...

This works in reverse as well. If a player has a hitting or a pitching streak going into the All-Star game then it will be increased if he continues that streak during that game. The All-Star game should have no affect on streaks what so ever, positive or negative.

This didn't happen in the test that I just ran. Stan Musial had a 13 game hitting streak when he entered the all star game and he went 1 for 1 and it even mentioned in the box score that he extended his hitting streak to a career high 14 games. However once the AS game exits and the game saves his hitting streak reverts back to 13 games, I checked all the players who had active streaks during the all star game and they all stayed the same whether they got a hit or not.

The problem that I am describing really only effects hitting streaks that exceed 20 games since those are the only type that get reported in the player's history. The hitting streak doesn't actually end but it gets misreported in the player's history file as being snapped if he doesn't get a hit duirng the game but the streak will still actually continue.

Thanks for the heads up on that issue. I never bothered to double check the numbers after the game was over. I only noticed the write up in the box scores and incorrectly assumed that they carried over.
