basically they say that when teams in an online lg try to view their players salary and requests for next year they are getting a password required block ???

I just checked it out on my version post-patch, and everything is working just as it should. You're able to view the contract request for the player (from the Salary drop down menu on the roster screen), but NOT make offers to them.

Ok -it seems to work with just about everyone but thisone guy in my league ...ive checked the web and its cool n correct there - but in his its showing players eligible for arbi - and we dont have it - plus its not allowinghim to see what the players are asking - or even what theyre saying -
or so im told...
i'm thinking his version is fubar'd and needs to delete the entire league and re-load from the next sim ..??
or is it that the game itself is messed and needs to reload it entirely?
BTW - thanks mr. sporr (man i love that - its like when the NYTimes reviewed a MeatLoaf concert and referred to himas 'Mr. Loaf')

Is he maybe using an old version of the game before several of the patches came out?

Ok finally heard back - he had missed a patch and wound up deleting game - and everything - then reinstalling and putting patches in order into the system- it appears to have done the job.

Question: why would it matter that the patchers were out of sequence - wouldn't one just include allthe updates from the others and then carry it over to the next patch???
again thanks guys for the help...
