Question Is there a utility that...

that lays out a team history on one page? I am thinking of something that has Yearly W/L, playoff appearences, WS titles, history of 1st round picks, Award winners (MVP, Cy Young, Gold Glove, ROY), Market Size, Fan Loyalty, Finances, etc.

Something that makes it easier for me to look if I sim for a few years at a time to see a quick synopsis of a specific team.

I am thinking of using it a solo league I am about to start.

I have tried doing a search but is not apparent that are any utilities that do this.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction of a utility that would serve this purpose.

Thanks.

Your best bet would be to use Cato's History since it is about the most extensive look into a team that you are going to get. All of the information may not be on one page but the information is there.

Thanks for the info.

It looks good.

I have 2 more questions:

1. on the link above what version should I d/l. I assume is "Update to 5.3" but I am not sure.

2. Can I use this for a league that already started. And if I can, will it retroactively create the sheets for season's past?

Thanks a bunch for your help.

1. Download and Install the OOTPHist4 Full version first. Then download and copy the files from the 5.3 update. It will overwrite some files that are already there in order to update to the most current version.

Make sure that you download and use CommishJoe's Exporter v5 from this site and not from anywhere else. This is the specific version necessary for Cato's to work correctly.

2. Not sure. I am new to this utility. There is a league importer included with the Exporter that may accomplish this for you but you will need to look more into that. Hopefully someone else will chime in on this issue for you.

You can use the utility with an existing league provided you have a saved copy of your league at the end of each completed season. The HTML reports (from OOTP5) and CSV reports (from CommishJoe's Exporter mentioned by couriers) extracted at the end of each season provide the data used by the Cato Reference Utility.
