OOTP 27 Patch: 27.4.76

We have officially released the patch that has been up this week, version 27.4.76.

• Update to the 2026 MLB draft pool
• Updated IAFA/Draft balance
  **Added more volatility to HS draft picks
  **Added status for players post-draft to the HS/CO column
  **Draft pool college players should be more developed
  **IAFA players end up slightly more volatile
  **General development/aging tweaking
  **More adjustments to draft pool initial ratings for fictional players
  **Adjusted scouting view of draftable players up slightly
• Advanced Stats IFB rate now includes line drives (eg now POP/POP+FB+LD)
• Updated XBA, exit velo, hard hit rates
• Tweaked infield single rate down slightly
• Updated roster AI to allow more releasing of below average players
• Updated trade deadline AI
• Fixed player counter offer of long term deals
• Fixed pickoff throws animation
• Fixed defensive indifference appearing in game logs when it is not valid
• Adjusted player name coloring in lists
  **Most roster panels will keep showing tired players in yellow
  **Larger panels, and in-game player display will use a modified orange value for tired or exhausted players
  **Adjusted the battery icons to more clearly show the status
• Fixed pre-2026 leaderboard list in new standard game (needs new game to see changes)
• Fixed team report ‘Player Ratings'
• Fixed World Page missing information
• Fixed some cases of historical lineups not selecting correct players, notably when having minors enabled
• Adjusted some development for balance (slightly increased pitcher babip, slightly slowed batter development)
• PT: Fixed some text colors on open pack page
• PT: Added missions filter to clubhouse page

Important info for online leagues: This version is compatible for online leagues

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before attempting to install the update. Please note that you may need to delete or unload previous installers of the game after download. Please be sure that after updating you see the correct version of your game. For Steam users, your game should update automatically when launched.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

No, if you had downloaded the last beta version we put up a couple days ago, this one is the same.

I go back and forth on the fog. I do like having a visual reminder that it is raining, but I'm not sure how that can be demonstrated in-game.

I do wish they would/could make it a bit more transparent. Push come to shove I wouldn't want to see it removed. To me the visual reminder outweighs the limited visibility.

Other's milage will certainly vary.

Agreed! I was all for toning it down but I think it went a little too far. Obviously the randomness won't change but I do like sorting through scouting/stats/tools to try hit on every pick. The way it was, made it feel to me there was no point in drafting anyone after the 2nd round so I just went with my SD's pick.

OOTP 27 is in a very good place. I installed the beta that later became official a few days ago and it looks very good.

It gives high hopes for OOTP 28. The feeling is that you have a solid foundation to stand on.

With the huge fires up north these days maybe the fog will be a more normal happening for games played in northern states.
Even the football World Cup final had a warning hanging over it if the smoke from the fires up north was too harsh.

It should. The only caveat is if you opted in and used the beta you will want to go back to Steam and change your selection back to "Default Public Version". Either way if you enabled the beta you will be playing build 76 and nothing will really change. But this step will ensure you don't install a beta you don't want or are unaware of.

Right click OOTP27 in your library..
properties>Game Versions & Betas

To confirm you are current the build number, 76, will show on the bottom of the opening splash screen.
