Tired Player Keeps Playing

I have a tired player who keeps playing even though I have a sub in the depth chart if tired. I also set the % tiredness to 94%. He's down to 75% and was still played. What might I be doing wrong?

Am I crazy or are the only times "tiredness" is referenced in PT 27 is

1. offense
2. defense

Check to see if the sub is playing elsewhere over the last few games. Is he subbing at too many different positions, or is he a regular at another position? Rule of thumb is that a bench player should only be primary sub at one or two positions. Also check to see if you've accidentally changed the default strategy settings for fatigue. Generally, a player should be benched when below 90%, but that can be changed in the global strategy settings screen.

Does tiredness affect his defensive efficiency?

Not 100% sure, but I believe it does.

Obsessed with "Turn DP" this year. How many runs added by 1st basemen PWR bombers who drop the throw from 2nd, or stretch too far.

Turn DP isn't as important as Range, and it isn't as important as Arm for shortstops. That's why your rag-armed second baseman has an inferior position rating when filling in at short (see Tubby Scales for an example). For bomber first basemen, it has almost no relevance.

In general, first base defense is irrelevant. The swing is usually five runs or less over the course of a season, which is not worth worrying about as you peruse their batting ratings.

Ha! When I saw the thread title, I thought this was going to be a rant about you being tired of playing PT because of one reason or another (RNJesus screwing you in the playoffs, ripping packs that have the same card twice, not getting a Perfect card despite having over 300 rips, etc.). Glad to see your concern is more practical!
