Request for new schedule for 1SL/8D/4T
Just expanded my current save to 32 teams and dissolved the AL and NL before Manfred does, realigning into 8 four team divisions based on geography.
Looking at a 156 game season starting on ot about April 1 and ending in mid to late September. 16 games against own division 16 x 3 =48 (8H 8A) Can be 3-3-2 or 4-4 6 games against each team in two other divisions 8x6=48 (3h 3A) 3 games against the other teams 20 teams = 60 ((play ten 3 game series at home, and ten 3 game series away. I havenÂ’t figured out how the ASG is going to work, but will need it scheduled in early to mid July. Please let me know if additional information is needed. Thank you very much. |

Want to clarify the "ending in mid to late September"...
With an MLB-like frequency of offdays, if you started on, say, Fri Apr1 then the end day would be Sun Sep25. That would involve some divisional 2-game series. If you wanted to trim the number of offdays ways back, you could have all 4-game division series, and chop off a whole week to like Fri Apr1 to Sun Sep18. I think there is also a middle ground that would be like Mon Apr1 to Sun Sep22. Should not really be a difference between building any one of those, thus wanted to get specific preference. As far as ASG, yeah, getting that in early/mid July is no problem. My experience is that what would happen is AS team 1 would be from the first four divisions and AS team 2 would be from the last four divisions. So you could factor that in deciding how to layout the divisions.

Thank you for the reply. I’m not wedded to the mid-September finish so the date you suggested is fine. I’m working through what the playoffs would look like, so I was afraid my World Series might be in November. I’ve seen different suggestions including 8 division winners and 8 wildcards. I’m leaning toward just the 8 division winners rather than adding any wildcards. That would get me through in late October.
Thank you so much. |
