Jordan Walker
Fun with numbers.
His hard hit rate is 59%. His EV, or average velocity is 95.8 mph. This is for his career, and is going up every year. Before you say he's a flash in the pan, consider that he JUST turned 24. Cards likely brought him up a year early. For comparison, his EV of 95.8 compares to Ohtani's 93.8. Cards are fun to watch..a good, young team on pace to win 98 games. The "experts" said 66 wins, prior to the start of the season. Last night's game with the dodgers, the idiot announcers were such pro Dodgers that I considered turning off the sound. I would LOVE to see three in a row. For funsies, I looked at Judge's EV for his career, and it's identical to Jordan Walkers, for HIS career, at 95.8. He hits the ball, HARD. Cardinals are welcome and encouraged to win all the games.
Against the Dodgers.

The way he's been absolutely jerked around ever since he debuted for them makes me root for him personally. Glad he's putting it together this season

His line drive rate, his hard hit rate, and his BABIP are as good as anyone's in MLB, so far this year. He smoked a homer the other day with the shallowest launch angle this year. I thought the left fielder was going to jump for it. |
