Twitch Drops tracking inconsistency (multi-account setup) – looking for confirmation/possible UX gap

Hi all,

I wanted to raise an issue I’ve been running into consistently with Twitch Drops tracking in Perfect Team, and see if others are experiencing the same thing.

Setup:

* 2 Perfect Team accounts (separate teams)
* 2 Twitch accounts
* 2 different browsers (one per account)
* Watching a known Drops-enabled stream (e.g. ShawnCurtis430)

Issue:
Even with everything set up “correctly,” Drops tracking frequently does not initialize properly. Typical symptoms include:

* Current campaign does not appear in Twitch Drops Inventory at all
* OOTP “Drops & Rewards” page shows as logged in, but no progress is tracked
* Previously completed or inactive campaigns still display normally
* No clear error message indicating what’s wrong

To get Drops to start tracking, I often have to:

* log out/in of Twitch and/or OOTP multiple times
* reconnect the Twitch ↔ OOTP link
* restart streams or switch streams
* repeat this process for ~15–30 minutes until it “sticks”

Eventually it works, but the process is inconsistent and not predictable.

Observations:

This seems more likely when running multiple accounts, but I’ve seen it with a single account as well
There are no obvious error messages, so from a system perspective everything appears “fine”
Once tracking starts, it generally remains stable

Question for others:

Are others seeing similar behavior with Drops not initializing or campaigns not appearing?
Especially those running multiple PT teams or Twitch accounts?

Suggestion (if this is a known edge case):
It might help to have:

clearer status messaging (e.g. “No active campaign detected” vs. blank state)
or a simple “Reset Drops Connection” option to force a clean relink

Not trying to complain—just trying to understand whether this is a broader issue and if there’s a more reliable setup or workflow.

Thanks!

PS: “If others are seeing this, even occasionally, it might help to compare setups (single vs multi-account, browser differences, etc.)”

Any issues with drop tracking in Twitch should be directed to Twitch, and not us. OOTP can't do anything to fix it or make changes to anything associated with it if it's an issue with a Twitch system. We do not control Twitch.

That makes sense, and I understand OOTP doesn’t control Twitch itself.

My goal here isn’t so much to assign responsibility as it is to understand whether this is a shared experience among PT users.

If multiple people are seeing similar behavior (especially with multi-account setups), then it may point to something in the interaction between Twitch Drops and the OOTP linking process—regardless of which side ultimately owns it.

At that point, having a clearly described, reproducible pattern might make it easier to surface to the appropriate place (whether that’s Twitch or elsewhere).

Appreciate the clarification—just trying to gather a bit more data from others.

Twitch drops are a little weird, but normally if you just reload the stream page eventually Twitch will show the tracking.

When I am testing Twitch Drops I use two different browser with two different accounts as well and there seems to be no problem.

Relinking should not be necessary at all.

Thanks for the feedback—that’s actually helpful context.

What I’m seeing seems to differ from what you described in one key way:

In my case, it’s not just that tracking is delayed—it’s that the active campaign sometimes doesn’t appear at all in the Drops inventory, even while watching a confirmed eligible stream. In those cases, reloading alone doesn’t seem to resolve it, and I end up having to relink or restart sessions before it begins tracking.

Once it starts, it’s stable—so the issue seems to be with the initial handshake rather than ongoing tracking.

Given that your setup (two browsers / two accounts) works reliably, I’m wondering if there may be something environment-specific involved. For example:

browser extensions (ad blockers, etc.)
session persistence/cookies
timing of login vs stream start

I’ll do a bit more testing on my end to see if I can narrow that down.

If anyone else has seen the “campaign not appearing at all” behavior (as opposed to just delayed tracking), I’d be curious to hear.

Appreciate the insight.

Twitch Drops

I can’t say I’ve fully “solved” the issue, but I’ve noticed one additional detail that makes it difficult to pin down.

The delay between signing into Twitch, logging into Out of the Park Baseball 27, linking the accounts, and then actually seeing the drop progress counter appear can sometimes be very long. Because of that delay, there’s no immediate feedback confirming whether everything is connected correctly.

Over the past several days, there were times when the counter appeared 15–20 minutes after logging in, and other times where an hour passed and it still hadn’t shown up. With that kind of inconsistency, it’s hard to know whether to keep waiting or restart the process—risking lost progress either way.

If I had one suggestion (whether for OOTP, Twitch, or both), it would be to add a simple “live status” indicator shortly after login and linking. Even a basic confirmation that the accounts are properly connected would go a long way toward reducing uncertainty. And as a side note - the message on the OOTP login page that the "accounts are successful linked" isn't always right. I have sat through entire streams with that message and the counter never started nor were the drops ever delivered.

Not meant as a complaint as much as just trying to describe an experience that may help smooth out a frustration some of us are running into.
