College conference tournaments don't seem to be working correctly
I appreciate there are different rules around the format of each conference but based on how teams are selected, I'm starting to think there's a bug or coding mistake.
You can test this yourself easily but I've added some screenshots. I don't see how these draws makes sense in the tournament stage. For the Atlantic Hockey tournament, for example, it makes no sense why Army (first place) would be playing Bentley (sixth place). Then, looking at the ECAC standings, it clearly indicates the top-eight cut: Yale finished 8th place here, yet they're not even in tournament, but St. Lawrence, who finished outside the top-eight in 10th place are included instead. Ninth-place Union Garnet finish outside the top-eight but didn't qualify, so why would St. Lawrence? The seedings also seem odd with 1st place Quinnipiac playing seventh-placed Princeton. Any insight on this would be really helpful - if this is actually all correct and I'm missing something, it would be really helpful to have this explained in the rules section so people can understanding what's going on. In addition there is no news notification confirming which teams DID make the cut for the national finals and the regional groups. I think this sort of communication is sorely needed to improve immersion. The rules section for the college leagues are otherwise really well-explained btw. After looking into it it seems the PO participants and the seeding is based on winning-pct, not points. For some reason it is hard coded to show the standings by points but I can´t remember why we changed it. Maybe Jeff still knows?
