Traded players won't "stick" on new teams

Longtime online league, since 2003, has encountered a new, recurring issue.

After the Commish processes trades (either manually or thru the in-game trade tool, doesn't matter) and uploads the new league file, players revert back to their old teams or become free agents, in both GMs' file and in the Commish's file.

We had this issue off and on for many years across many game versions, but it has become an almost constant bug now.

We looked at a variety of game settings (like Prevent AI roster moves) and could not figure out why the players would not "stick" on their proper teams.

Is this a new issue with a quick fix???
