First baseman never step on first base for ground-out

i noticed that ground balls to first base consistently result in the first baseman throwing to the pitcher (instead of the first baseman simply stepping on the bag for an unassisted out)

normally this is not an issue. however, whenever there is runner on second, it seems the 2nd base runner could sneak to 3rd while first baseball waiting for pitcher coming to first.

any of you were having the same problem?

I have seen the first baseman infrequently make an unassisted out at first. I don't know how often that happens compared to MLB.

Seems there's a bug here we're looking at fixing up.

Yes this is more frequent in this version. Although the 3-1 play is vastly improved with the new animation, there are still a few times where the first baseman is standing like right there. Just step on the bag. And also yes, I do still see the first baseman take it to the bag unassisted from time to time. Love the new animation though.

Agree

The whole first base ground ball exchange needs to be looked at. I would just like the first basemen just to the bag.

This used to be fairly constant, it's never been a good animation for transfer because the distance is silly as the pitcher runs over. However, I do still get 1B taking it over. Maybe it's lessened on this patch but I thought I was seeing THAT part as a much better animation.

I finally saw the 1B take it to the bag himself. I wish I screenshot where he caught the grounder--it was practically shallow RF. He legit ran back on it. It was one of those animations where the runner had to chug through molasses to make it work.
