Is the board intermittently running slow for anyone else?

For a couple of weeks the board has been glitching for me. At times it runs at it's normal quick speed. Then it will all of a sudden slow way down and take a minute or more to load a page. As the icon spins I sometimes click x to stop and hit the link to try again. Sometimes this results in the board being back up to speed, other times it just spins again. Same for posting a message. One time it's instant. The next it can take several tries before it posts.

Either it's something in my connection (no issues on other sites) or the board is getting to the point it needs a tweak.

So, anyone else seeing this?

It happens nowand then with their server. I know nothing about computers but I know they have to go in and clear some stuff out to get it running smoothly when it starts acting up.

Definitely seen a lot of hamster fatigue going on with the forum wheel turning lately. Also, none of the forum jump links at the bottom of the page have worked correctly for some time now.

I have seen it. But it hasn't been any where near as bad as last year.

Yep it happens from time to time so it doesn't surprise me anymore... even less last week since the new release was recent and the MLB season was coming up.

Current version, released over a year ago, is 6.1.1.

Agreed. It's just that nobody had mentioned it and I wanted to be sure it wasn't my browser or IP. With it happening during the release cycle it's not going to be at the top of the list of things to do, and that's fine.

I am a night owl living in the Central Time Zone (U.S.) and play in the early hours of the morning.
The site has always seemed to be slow between 3 and 4 a.m., but the last week or so it has been virtually impossible to post on during that time and now it is lasting until well after 4 a.m.

The Devs have said they will eventually have to migrate to a new board system, but it hasn't happened yet and I suspect it would be a huge undertaking. The amount of history on these boards is staggering, and obviously they won't want to lose any of it if it can be helped.
