Scouting..old new question?

Does having the Scouting Director allocate more budget dollars to major league players, help the scouting accuracy of your team?

If I select 0% for major league players, then would I get poor or something less in scouting accuracy on my own major league players?

Scouting...second question

What does the Scouting Director's "Player Valuation" mean?
I think this was new last year (or maybe a year before) but there is no WIKI reference to what and how it works.

I haven't tried to min/max results from the scouting sliders. My understanding (and this could be wrong) is your percentage choices influence who your scout watches when undirected. There's a screen that shows who has been recently scouted. It's completely random-looking for me because I generally go with something around 30/30/30/10. You can still manually assign your scout to anybody, and those reports should follow the usual progression from inaccurate to accurate after a few looks.

If you aren't interested in having accurate grades on MLB players, but you want them for your own players, then you could manually assign your scout to watch your guys. I don't understand why this would be a desirable use case, but that's up to you.

Your second question relates to the "incorporate stats in scouting report" toggle. This particular scout gives a bit of attention to current stats, almost none to a year ago, and none at all to two years ago. (That's probably an ideal distribution in OOTP, though irl, that would be dumb.)

Yes, more dollars invested will provide higher accuracy, but at some point diminishing returns are going to hit.

I usually run some variation of 10/20/30/40 depending on the quality of my scout and what stage of building my team is in.
