Ballpark Orlando - Home of the Orlando Stingrays
In 2002 new ownership purchased the often talented yet financially burdened Montreal Expos, subsequently moving them south to Orlando Florida. Central Florida fans were starved for a winner after suffering through the debacle known as the Devil Rays.
Enter the Stingrays. With the financial stability provided by the vibrant and growing central peninsula populace, management developed the best scouting and minor league system in the NL East and built from the ground up. The rise culminated in 2008 when the Stingrays defeated the Boston Red Sox in 7 games to win the world series. In 2009 the team is on pace to win 110 games and defend their title. Ballpark Orlando is a beautiful stadium, a throw back to days gone by. It looks strangely similar to Camden Yards. The Orlando skyline lays beyond a huge lake which borders the stadium outfield. Torii Hunter nearly drowned after leaping over the centerfield wall to make a spectacular catch. At least he was rescued before the alligators noticed him. |

This is great...the skyline and lake are really special...Now I only need about 49 more stadiums for my alltime allstar leagues.

Have you created any other stadiums?
If so, where can we download them? |

Eugene,
I have a few more, but none of which I am nearly as happy with as Orlando. I will upload them in subsequent posts. I haven't worked much with creating stadiums and actually this one took a long time to put together because I needed an appropriate skyline for Orlando. I mistankingly mentioned Camden in my post. This park is actually a partial of Jacobs Field, with bits and pieces removed to emphasize the other image. |

You sure you didn't use some Camden? I mean, between "Legg Mason," David Segui and the dugout saying "Home of the Baltimore Orioles"...just a hunch.

Didn't the Orioles move to Jacobs Field, lol? Woops. Thanks for pointing that out, yes it is indeed Camden.

Ah, so THIS is what Camden Yards would look like without the Warehouse and a few blocks closer to the Inner Harbor!
Good job!

Yeah and in Typical Florida fashion you built the damn thing on the water!! You should have built it closer to Disney maybe Sea World... how about I drive in the background?

That is a great stadium picture. Lake Eola in the background what a Perfect spot. Seeing that picture reminds me of my childhood days going to Lake Eola to watch firework celebrations on the fourth of July.
