Any updates to Signing/FA Ai?

I know I saw and have read about some improvements to the trade ai, and that is great, I love that for the game. I mostly play online leagues, and one gripe I know most people have is that the ai can be, hmm, less than optimal in its decision making when it comes to extensions and FA contracts (on the ai players side, in the case of online leagues).

Has any work gone into advancing this at all in the new version of the game?
