Question
I'm playing 2000 season and I'm actually up to 2007 but all of the sudden the AI is really messing with my player ratings. A five star player was knocked down to one in a half in one season. My question is can I somewhere in the settings turn off the AI from doing anything to the players ratings? I've been looking but no luck yet. Thank you!!

Can you clarify what you mean by "turn off the AI from doing anything to the player ratings"? Perhaps provide an example of what is happening that you do not consider ideal?
There are a lot of historical options, so you can generally set it up in a way to handle the majority of use cases but the game is going to have to do something with ratings from year-to-year unless you are just wanting to essentially replay the 2000 season over and over. |

ok. Take a pitcher like Wade Davis. In my league he was very good, started out at rookie. lets just use his fastball When you look at his fastball it started at 457 current 435 potential 435. The next season, the current dropped to 157 potential stayed the same. Went from four stars to two. That happen to all his pitches and that happen to all my starting pitchers. His stamina also dropped to 50 from 139. That's why I want to stop the AI from making these drastic changes to my players.

If you go to League Settings/Players and Teams you can change the talent randomness (>100 is less change)
I had to release my #1 starter from the past few seasons because he became really bad. That's realistic, it happens, that's baseball.

Or Wade just hit 27 years old (2013 for him) and his stamina is starting to decline because he is on his way to recalc'ing to a great reliever. So, if it is 2013, he is a starter with a 5.32 ERA on his way to a reliever with 1.00 ERA.
As Rain says, one needs to know your settings and more info on the players used as examples.

Have I been doing this backwards? If TCR >100 is less change, I should have been setting TCR to <100 all these years. Help! Which approach is correct?

Whew, thanks! Anecdotally, I was seeing more change overall with higher TCR (although it is not immediate). But for a moment I thought that was all wishful thinking or misperception on my part.
