Historical players coming into the league as free agents
So I started a fictional league in 1901 with historical players (and promptly got knocked out of the playoffs as the top seed in the first round, the sorcery!)
Anyways, I originally set the game up with finances on, reserve-clause rules, yearly draft in the fall for the new class of historical guys. But I was thinking it might be more intriguing (and challenging) to have the guys come in a free agents every year instead of a player draft. In theory, this would favor the bigger clubs and create true dynasties as the clubs compete for newcomers every year. Does anyone else play this way? Anyone made such a switch midstream during a dynasty? Any advice or tips? I could see this creating quite a bit of chaos but I can't visualize the best way to set everything up Thanks again. I'll hang up and listen
