Need to Hire a New Training Staff

I don't use coaching but I seem to recall that when I did a long time ago, that you could hire a head trainer. I may be mixing up my games. Anyway, in early July I have 9 pitchers off my major league roster on the IL. It's possible that 1 may get back before the end of the season. I know it's just random luck but dang. Add to that my starting 2B, his replacement at 2B, and my LF who is my best hitter. Any of you guys remember ever having that many long term injuries in one season?

I've had about 10 major league players on the IL simultaneously, but I play with injuries on 'Very High', and even then it's pretty rare if you avoid playing guys who are tired.

I set the lineups and always have someone to play in case starter is tired but I sim games and never play them out. Is there some setting to ensure they get rest other than settings on the lineups and depth chart page?

Organization tab>Strategy>Player Strategy. There is an option "Bench when fatigue %". Drag and drop your chosen player to the bottom of the page.

What % do you use there to bench a player? Kinda sad to say but I have never even noticed fatigue % on anything other than pitchers and I have owned every version of the game.

It was a number of seasons ago but I do remember all 5 starting pitchers out at the same time plus my starting 2B and the next 2 replacements all out. I don't think they were season ending injuries but for a short period, I was not a happy GM. I believe I fired the trainer after the season.
