I can't get OOTP26 to run anymore on Steam

To start - I have about 123ish hours played already. I uninstalled/reinstalled the game, uninstalled/reinstalled Steam - I have rebooted, updated drivers, cleared the appdata, cleared the cache. Tried other versions of OOTP that had previously worked perfectly and nothing.

I click the icon on Steam - It says it is running and then about 30 seconds later it asks me if I want to play the game. Nothing in my event viewer. I am kind of stumped. Thank you in advance for any help that can be offered.

I assume the hard drive isn't full but check that. On clearing the appdata, I assume that cleared the config file. Can you screenshot the "ask if you want to play" dialogue? Do you ever get to the main screen? You said you tried the other versions on Steam - did they also not work as you aid you tried them but not if those worked or not. Are you loading from a shortcut on the desktop or from your library with Steam open?

Thank you for the reply - I cleared the files out and they haven't been recreated - I also renamed the config files folder. I am just not getting to that point, I don't get to the start screen. I was playing the other day [08/12] and it was perfectly fine. I have attached the screen shot of what I click to play, but I have also have clicked from the short-cut and executable file in the directory as the administrator.

Check any anti-virus programs you have running (including Windows Defender), and make sure OOTP is whitelisted in them, as it's possible the game is being blocked by an anti-virus.

I ended up disabling my anti-virus and did a system restore - Still doesn't work ugggghhhhh.

I fixed it, but not really - I have a new PC that I had put off putting together - Put it together, installed OOTP26 and copied my data from old game via a zip drive and it works. Still doesn't work on my main system, but problem is solved.
