Historical Leage - Players Coming in Early

Didn't get an answer in the Tech section, so will try here. Rather than rewrite it, just pointing to the earlier post:

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=364693

It should be a simple answer, as it much be a setting. Not sure why after things worked on the 1970 --> 1971 & 1971 --> 1972 rollovers, suddenly new players are coming in a year early in the 1972 --> 1973 rollover.

Besides the issues of coming in with alarming ratings that frankly breaks/destroys even wanting to play the game. Serious... it's hard enough to take Fred Lynn coming into the game in 1974 like he's at 1975 levels. But him being that in 1973 is something that drives me into another multi-year hibernation of playing OOTP just a week after upgrading from OOTP19 to OOTP26.

Help, please. The support from the boards has always been good to me since moving from online league play to solo play ages ago.

Did you intend to have real minors on? Auto-expansion for rules? Those are two historical defaults in the Wizard. What were the tweaks you made along the way? Move any dates like the draft? Is there a draft or is everyone supposed to go to their first team?

Auto Expansion is on largely to deal with the Senators moving to Texas, otherwise things get broken fast for that franchise not getting their new players.

Real Minors are off (i.e. No Minor Leagues). Intent is for Real Players to come onto their Initial Real Teams in the first year they player in the Majors. Hence No Draft.

Development turned off.

No Dates moved.

Tweaks would have been minor as I see issues. Examples:

1. noticing 7 Game LCS not sticking after a rollover, moving back to 5 Games, and bumping it back up.

2. noticing 4 man RP / 16 Man Roster for DH leagues resetting (quite possibly the goofiest thing I've seen), and pushing it back to 5/15 post rollovers each year.

3. Moved AI trading from Low to Very Low after seeing more stupid AI trades than I recall from OOTP19... and lord knows OOTP19 AI made lots of silly trades.

And... I don't recall what else. Had to have been something as these are very minor. 1 & 2 are things I also in the first season (1970) as well, with no impact on the rollover New Players being brought in. I'm pretty sure #3 was a 1970 one as well when I saw Joe Morgan get traded for total garbage (far worse than the eventual Reds-Astros trade).

Even just now running through the settings, I don't see anything.

It's a play-through starting in 1970, and it's only 1972 --> 1973 rollover when this happened. I have 1970 & 1971 EOS back ups, so can go back to them.

Just want to know what they heck to stay away from and not accidentally hit. :-)

PS: thanks LansdowneSt. I seem to recall you helping with one of my questions in the past years ago. As mentioned, the folks here have always done my good in answering questions.
