No Walks
How do you create a league where players dont walk?
Im assuming I have to make batters have amazing contact and pitchers supreme control? Is there anything else I can do? In turn I want to up the standard of fielding so in play hits are obviously more common and as such scooped up and outs are collected. All help appreciated |

I'm going to guess this isn't going to work and may break the engine?
But if I were to try I'd first go to League Totals Set base on balls to zero run autocalc for the league to set the League Total Modifiers. Goodness knows what that LTM for BB would look like with a target of zero? ![]() Now simulate a test season and see what you get. Whatever you get I'd be of the opinion the developers should take no blame for the results, nor be expected to "make work" an extreme like this.

If 0 is entered as the BB total the LTM created is .001. If a LTM of .000 is entered manually the league output is the same as for .001. My estimate is the game replaces 0 values with the lowest value it recognizes to avoid the Divide By Zero error when performing calculations.
With a modifier setting of either .000 or .001 I got a 98.5% reduction in walks. The vast majority that occurred were intentional walks. Last edited by Brad K; 07-13-2025 at 05:57 PM. |
