Question Personality Ratings Questions

Maybe the developers could offer some insight into the Personality Ratings, in particular, the following two questions:

1) How do the initial Personality Ratings get determined in the game? Always been curious on how the developers created Personality Ratings.

2) How much does personality really impact the performance of teams?

Thank you for any insight into Personality Ratings.

Also, how do personalities get updated or change through a long sim?

And same question for popular, local and national, can they improve?

Funnily enough I have an idea for a mod regarding that.

and it could give the game a level of replayability never thought possible. The problem is I know F all about coding, but if you or someone you do know does, talk to me.

I don't know exactly what you're talking about, but I love the idea behind it. The personality and "intangibles" part of the game could use a ton of work to match up closer to reality or at the very least randomize it.

Yeah popularity will improve. More accomplishments will raise it locally and awards nationally.

Although drug suspensions are gone, I wonder if players with poor work ethic are also more prone suspensions in general

Honestly, the way I envision the mod is simply piggybacking on the system that is already there. We already have player traits in the game. We just add some new ones that interact with the old ones, and we have a whole new emergent gameplay.

When I came up with this idea in a fit of inspiration, I was gobsmacked, thinking this was something they could've added a decade ago! It would absolutely change the way the game is played. And the replays would be endless!

I wish the scandals were back in the game. I play fictional, and there's no reason for them NOT to be in a league of not-real people. I don't know how hard it is to program separately for fictional leagues but I used to see all kinds of things I'm pretty sure weren't in the game for real MLB players.
