Realistic Trade Frequency

I've tested both "average" and "low" on AI Trading Frequency. According to Grok, 1978 ish era had 20-30 trades per season.

On "average" I get 50-60 trades per season.

On "low" I get 5-10 trades per season.

Why is there such a large delta between the two?

Shouldn't "average" be 20-30 trades by default?

I'm not sure what all goes into this under the hood but it seems like we should have something in between 5-10 and 50-60 trades per season.

I’ve tried to keep it on low until the month of July then turn in to average. I dont recall my exact results but may help for ideas if you are testing around.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess "average" isn't tuned year by year so I wouldn't expect a similar amount of trades historically by choosing it.

I have noticed the large gap between settings, though, which is definitely something I'd like to see fine tuned. For me, it's particularly present in the offseason.

Yeah thats likely what Im going to have to do. I just like to play through more quickly sometimes. Maybe sim the first season to get to an expansion draft or take a season off between switching teams. So you have to remember to do that, and like was said in another thread, its not explicitly stated you must do this.

I feel like there should be a reasonable way to set it and forget it so to speak so one settings gives you a realistic result over the course of the season. IMO, average or normal, whatever the middle ground is, should mimic real life. How many trades are in December, July etc vs the other months and replicate that.

I'm sure its more complex than I think but I would have though by now that kind of system would have been in place.
