Too Much Talent Too Fast...

I really hate bringing this up again, but (1) I need to vent my emotions now and then, and (2) the problem does seem to be worse this year.

I mean, here we are in the middle of May, 2 months into PT26, and most "active" teams have rosters that look like PT19 did in August/September. I always read the defense of this as being "talent creep" is necessary to keep the whales interested", but I can't help but wonder what PT30 will look like if we keep speeding up the process.

I don't know that I have an answer, but "IF" the talent creep was slower, wouldn't that just raise prices on the earlier cards (Silver/Gold) early on the timeline while everyone waited for the better cards? And if the whales were spending money earlier on lower OVR cards to compete early, wouldn't that increase the amount of money they spend over the course of the year?

I'll be the first one to admit I don't have the knowledge to know the answers to these questions, but I suspect even the developers have to guess at the answers.

I don't know if a slower release of talent would be better or worse, but I do suspect the faster talent release unchecked is going to hurt a lot a few versions down the line.

Ok, off my soapbox and back to reading responses...

It's the mission rewards. I haven't spend any money yet but my teams are all 90+ with 2 100s. Sets the bar very high for June -Sept.

Yes, the trick right now as FTP is to identify the best mission rewards roster and play that, along with whatever else you've pulled. I've got a first-place team in High Gold with three Perfects, 20 high Diamonds, and three low Diamonds. The only team members I had to purchase were Bob Veale and Steve Pearce, and I only paid about 13,000 for the two of them. The remainder of the Live Series rewards are sitting on the reserve roster and would pull in 150,000-175,000 if I sell.
