Please help: historical players not importing

Only had OOTP 26 a few days, but historical players aren't importing under the free agents list as they do in previous versions. Commissioner mode is on, and it says it successfully imported a player yet none appear on the free agents list. Nor does the total amount of players below the "Actions" tab budge either. Am I doing something wrong? Is it a bug? I'm on a Mac. Left a screenshot for reference-

The minor league database ID's are not working on this modal currently. However, the Devs are aware and working on a fix.

The Major League ID should work, though (i.e. "doylela01" for Larry Doyle) as long as you are importing a season they played in the Major Leagues.

OOTP 26 appears to confirm successful historical player imports, but no players show in the free agents list and the total player count remains unchanged. Commissioner mode is enabled, and this issue seems consistent despite multiple attempts. This could be a version-specific bug or an import process issue. Do you not also have to check Include minor league players checkbox?
Even with the fix without checking that the player may not import
