Players going for extra bases when they shouldn't

This happens pretty frequently where players are running for extra bases when they shouldn't and there's no way they would be safe. Aggressive baserunning or not. These baseruns aren't even close, and has to be a bug.

Not only that but I have Baserunning set to me instead of my Bench Coach and the popup rarely comes up (if at all) when players are baserunning.

You can't really go by how close the play is as the video is a representation of what happened and not an event happening in actual time. The play as scored is what happened. I suppose you could call the video a bug in plays that don't look right. One can always run a replay and post the result of any play, along with a description in this thread https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=360982 for the developer to look at and possibly fix/tweak. Nothing wrong with reporting these issues here, and I agree with you it should look better, but I think you have a better chance of seeing a fix posting it in the linked thread. FWIW I occasionally chew out my player's baserunning decisions because of the visual while knowing the visual isn't how the play would look in real life.

I don't implement user baserunner control as I figure I'm in the dugout and I have base coaches for that. Just my preference. With that in mind my understanding of the user controlling baserunning is it only comes up on plays that will be close. It is not a replacement for each player's baserunning ability in general. IE players are able to make bad decisions on their own, or good ones too for that matter. Yes, you can argue how the feature is implemented and ask the developer for changes in the suggestion forum. But I do believe at this time it is acting as designed.

I'll post this I guess in the animation thread? But regardless of the animation, if it's that close to where the player is trying to run to 3rd and gets called out, then I should get the popup notification asking if i want to take the chance of sending the runner to 3rd.

I believe it can't hurt to try posting in the animation thread.

Except it may be the baserunner having poor ratings making a poor decision? IE He never looked at the base coach. Or it could be a good baserunner never checking the base coach thinking he'll make it, but the OF made a better play?

Again I don't use the baserunning popup so my thoughts are speculation. Having said that.. while the popup only comes up on plays that will be close, it doesn't always come up on plays that will be close. Speculation: As above the player can and will make mistakes on his own.
