In the top RH corner there's a dropdown menu marked ACTIONS, from which you need to select IMPORT HISTORICAL PLAYER(S). Select the database and then apply the settings you want. See the screenshot below for the button you use to add the .txt file. When you're happy all is in order, click OK. I always recommend you backup the save before doing this in case something goes wrong. Hope that helps. G

My steps thus far are :I open notebook ,place my players in using the format ie ruthba01,1927 etc. I close the file and save it to my drive .Then what? how does it get into the ottp game from where i can select the file ? |

Go to Settings on main start screen. Go to troubleshooting. Click Open files with customizable data. Save the txt file there. Note where that is (just above the stats folder). Go to the player importer. Select mass import from file. From there navigate (likely up one step) to where you saved the txt file. Select it. Hit the import button.
The txt could have been anywhere but I had you save it somewhere easy to get to.

After several attempts and game crashes I almost gave up .I kept trying ,not being computer savy as to where to move files and it worked!!!
Thank you very much for your guidance as it is very much appreciated . I am putting together a 46 team game consisting of the best players from franchises pre and post 1960 .I will have a 258 game schedule which I have tested using fictional teams .The project would not be possibel if not for your help . I will post another question regarding lineups . |
