FHM Historical Mode Crashing during the preseason

Recently, i've been wanting to try Historical Mode but it crashes every time at around the same date no matter which year I start. I tried 1999-2000, 2010-11, and 2013-14 and they all crash around mid September or whenever the AHL preseason starts. I even tried simming through it without touching a single thing or making any changes and it still does it. Is there anything I can do?

Send along a save that crashes so that the guys can have a look

Ok i added it. it's called 1Cyber2010.lg.rar

I looked into your save and it crashes because your player_roles.dat file is empty. This is a file which is justed copied from the QS, so it seems your installation is broken. So first step would be to do a clean new install of FHM.

Weird because i checked my quickstarts and they all have normal player_roles files that are like 28 kb

Yes, it should have 28 kb, that is correct. But in the save I got from you it was 1 kb and empty.
