FHM Analytics Tool (Power BI project based on CSV Exports)

Working on a tool to get visualisation/analytics based on FHM data.
Project is not ready to publish, but a lot of basic work to prepare data and some small visualisation work is done.

Solution is based on Microsoft Power BI and regular FHM csv exports.
The project imports / creates links between the standard csv files and does data preparation (for example calculate Positiontypes of players at runtime).

My first focus is to show player ratings grouped by teams.
Compare your team to rest of the league and see your strenghts.

At the moment you can select league and position type (defense, forward, goalie) and get average ratings per rating category of FHM.

Will keep you updated - hope to release a first alpha soon.

short update
a) some graphic work done
b) startpage with navigation options done (user can jump from start page to different pages)

quick explanation what can be read out of the data at the moment based on Canucks Defensemen example (underlaying save game started in FHM9 and is in season 2025/2026 now):
they have a strong playmaking/puckhandling D-Core with league wide medium Shooting skills.
Defending and Hockey Sense exists ;-) but does look pretty bad compaired to rest of NHL teams.

Need your feedback/ideas for one topic:
do you see any problems when we use combined ratings (defending) instead of detailed ratings (checking, shot blocking, ...)?

After some back and forth (and tests with Tableu), finally back on track with my Power BI solution.
some useful charts are done

A) Difference between league average and team average (per Position)
B) Average Skills per Team and Position
C) Skill Matrix of one Team (all Players and per Position)

can publish a first version if you are interested, some additional things planned to include in a next version over the weekend.

Very interesting, looking good. Would be interested in testing out a first version if you are wanting to go that route, if not I'll wait for full release.
