Import Player from Database

As I posted in another thread, I accidentally generated fictional amateurs in my long-running historical league. I was able to delete them all, but now when I try to import the real amateurs, it bases their talents only on the import year.

How do you base an imported player's talents on his entire career? Someone suggested I download Ankit's database, which I did, but I get the same problem (eg, Minnie Minoso with "fair" talent in getting hits).

I don't know of a solution besides editting the players, I don't play historically so someone with more experience in that part of the game may be able to help more.

Then I guess I'll have to do it manually.

This is a feature that REALLY needs changing. The league needs a global setting as to whether you want real or fictional amateurs. Or at least a confirmation dialogue when you make your yearly selection.

I have to click "YES" to import real rookies and then "NO" to not assign them to their real teams. It took me 23 years, but I knew I'd mix it up eventually.

I've been working on this franchise for 9 months now, since OOTP4.
