CPU Teams Sign Players for 1/10 Asking Price
To reproduce start a historical season (I started in 2023 but not sure if that matters) and choose "Set Initial Rosters by Draft".
After the draft there will be some good players that weren't picked. Shortly after the season starts some CPU teams will contract 4-5 star players at up to 1/10 of their asking price. Players that request 6-9 million from me will get hired by CPU teams for 800-900k. When this happens, the contracts are usually under a million and typically 1 year. I get players may want to really play for a specific team, but this is one hell of a hometown discount. ![]() If I wait a few months I can sometimes get a CPU team to trade me one of those players for one of equal star rating who's paid the correct amount. So the CPU GMs don't seem to understand how good of a contract they gave out. Version 11.2 build 33 Last edited by Hockey_Mark; 01-24-2025 at 06:09 PM. |

Yeah, I just tried that setup and saw something similar happening, although it was with a fairly small number of players and there were other 4-5 star guys signing contracts at full value. I can think of a few potential causes, but we'll have to take a closer look to see exactly what's going wrong.
