OOTP 25 Patch (Version 25.11.100) Update Available!

Important: This patch is only for OOTP 25 versions which were purchased directly from our webstore or resellers who use our Fastspring / QLM version. Steam users, please update from within the Steam client.

Hi everybody!

We are releasing the patch officially, incrementing the build number to version 25.11.100. As before, we hope this will likely be the final patch for OOTP 25, as the development cycle has now concluded. We want to thank everyone for your valuable feedback over the past few months. We truly believe OOTP 25 is our best work yet, and your contributions played a key role in making that possible! Thank you

Note to online league members: Note that changes were made to contract offers in online leagues. It is highly recommended that all league members update to the new version

Changelist 25.11.100:

• Fixed incorrect offered contracts value in front office extension widget
• Fixed front office budget tab not including draft expenses
• Fixed some issues with contract offer history not appearing correctly
• Online Leagues: Fixed issues with contract offers being counted twice in projected expenses

Changelist 25.11.98:

• Adjusted Pitcher/Hitter balance on top prospect lists
• Fixed online league issue with contracts applied to wrong players
• Fixed Balanced Offense achievement
• Fixed player creation to create better pitchers
• Fixed historical pitchers importing with 0 stamina
• Fixed crash when importing historical minors in some leagues
• Fixed AI DFA/waiving just signed players when asking to set up organization
• Slightly reduced talent change randomness
• Slightly adjusted pitcher velocity decline in player development
• PT: Added button to export leaderboard to csv
• PT: Fixed card list updating when sell card immediately for top buy price
• PT: Added error message when limit of server-saved rosters reached for tournaments
• Misc bugfixes & tweaks

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

I'm assuming if I installed the public beta version 25.11.100 I do NOT have to download and install this official .100 release correct? Just wanted to be sure that I have the final version correctly installed.

I downloaded an single folder update of the latest OOTP 25 patch and I need to know what folder does it belong in? How do I install it?

Also My game is crashing. I can sim a game, but not play a live game. When I decide to go live, it crashes and shuts down.

If you download the single folder version, you need to go directly to where that folder was unpacked and run the game from there. You can do that if you want to keep multiple versions around (usually for online league compatibility), but otherwise it's not recommended.

Crashes while playing out a game is more likely an issue with 3d. You can try to update or reinstall your video drivers. Another common issue is if you are running off an incomplete data folder (like if you still have an old install where the data package is being used from). You may need to check the expert tab in the main page settings to see where your game is looking for the game data.

OK...can you post the link to download the game? I think I ran out of space and the data is being downloaded from a different storage. How do I look for the things you are talking about?

I was able to get the files downloaded, but when I go live, it still crashes. can you take a snapshot of where i should click to see where my data file is coming from?

The key places to check:
-On the first screen that pops up, make sure the version listed at the bottom is the correct version.
-From the first screen, hit the Settings button, and then go to the Expert tab. It should list in the Custom data path. You need to make sure that's pointing to the properly updated spot you downloaded things to.

If things are still crashing, you can go back to the settings, and go to the Troubleshooting tab, and enable the trace mode. Then if you go repeat what crashed, it should write a file to the data folder above, in the debug sub-folder, and you can send that in, and that might indicate what is going on.

That's the location it installed to, so if you can make sure that is where you downloaded and installed the version to.

If you go to the troubleshooting tab on there, you can enable the trace mode, and that will print a file to the data/debug folder which might shed more light on what is going on with your in-game issues.
