Multiplayer assistance?

I was brought here via the OOTP Reddit. Looking for simple and cheap/free ways to host just a two player multiplayer. Me and my buddy are newbies to this so just lookin for some help here.

If it is just the two of you and both of you have the game then one can run the league while the other sends their changes via email or Slack. The new league file could be sent back the same way. If this is the case then there is no need to host a website as all the information is available in the game.

I guess follow up is how simple is it to set that up? Like as the commissioner is it just find where my saved games are and send him that file?

You would need to create and configure the league as commish. I think you would still need to set it up as an online league. You would set him up as the GM of his team and you the commish AND the GM of your team.

Once he has the file and can log into his team he would make his changes and then in on his team home screen there is a drop down(its on a lot of the different team screens, not all but most) he would hit "Export to File."

He would then send that file(shouldn't be too big) to you through email or slack.

You would then navigate to the folder where the saved game is(usually documents/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 25/saved games/YOU LEAGUE NAME.lg/import_export) and drop his file here.

Then in game navigate to his team home page and under that same dropdown that you can export from you go and click on "import team from file."

That's it. It sounds like a lot but once you do it a few times it will be really easy. Make sure you have made the changes to your team and then you sim however many days the two of you agree upon.

Once the sim is complete you send him the league file again and the cycle starts over.

It's been a while since I've commished an online league so if I have anything wrong here I'm hoping someone will step in and correct me.
