PlayerID -1 question
I have come across players with a PlayerID -1 in the exported player_master.csv . Just wondering what that means?

Pretty sure I'd encountered this back in FHM10 too - I remember reporting large amounts of players with this ID back in the beta threads towards the end of the dev cycle

I would agree that the playerID of -1 is designed for retired players, as I have confirmed this by checking in game, but I have had similar issues that concur with the example provided by tomkmb. The export CSV code seems to be assigning ID's of -1 to some non-retired players for an unknown reason (I am assuming within the game, their ID's are not -1).

I have been able to duplicate the playerID -1 issue I have been getting.
When I start a custom game, on July 1, I edit the league structure to remove a fictional team, then I add an historical team in it's place, 1955-56 Detroit Red Wings, all the players on Detroit get assigned a playerID of -1 on the CSV export. This also affects the boxscore_period_scoring_summary.csv too, as the goal scorer and assists 1 & 2 are all playerID -1. Last edited by daigle91; 11-11-2024 at 09:01 AM. |
