Devs seems so confident that the game will release on 25 october

...While in steam the release date said Coming Soon
but what if Valve still refuse to approve the release date?

then we'll wait a few days, i've always expected a November release, more than happy to cut them some slack.

Pretty sure they said during the reveal stream that their release date target was always October 25th - seems as though that is the date that is being counted down to on their X account.

Since they are the ones that know the business side of things, they know the game they produced, and they know their relationship with Steam I would suspect they have a right to be confident.

If there is an issue, they will let us know... like always.

Unless you have some inside information that the people who produced the game don't have I'd wonder why you seem so confident it won't be out on time?

They'll get it out just in time for the Stanley Cup Final to start.

If they knew the business side of things they would have figured it out to be ready to go for the start of the season.

The fact that it is on steam likely means that whatever hurdle they were waiting for from steam has been cleared. I would expect it to be released on the 25th at this point. If not, then very soon after.

This dude above me is actually the biggest crybaby I have ever come across in my life. Must be a pretty sad life just focusing on the negatives of everything.

They can't help when someone like Steam changes their approval process and even rejects something that has been part of the game since FHM 3 (the NHL logo in their logo). Saying something like this when you're not even part of the process yourself is not constructive at all.

But they said that didn't affect release day at all. So start of the season was never their intended release date.

I'm still not going to question their business, because I don't know the process they have to go through. We just assume that since others like EA can get their games out when the season starts that Out of The Park should as well.

LOL no it's just because that's when sports game are normally released. The season starts in October every year. If they wanted to release it at start of the season, they could and would. OOTP 25 was released 13 days before season start. NBA 2k was over a month. Madden was 3 weeks. CF25 was over a month.

FHM can release the game whenever they want. If they want to wait until the Stanley Cup finals, that's up to them. I think it's pretty obvious excitement and interest in new games are at the their max leading up to and at the start of the real season.

Sure, for those who want to play along as the season goes on. Again, what applies to one doesn't necessarily apply to all. We don't know the process they have to go through. I don't personally see it as a big deal as I play the game from release until the next release. If it kills the excitement for the game for you so be it.

They said in the stream that there would probably be a price increase, but not as big as there was for OOTP this year.

With the current amount of info released and changes they've promoted, that'll be a hard pass for me at that price.
