If you play the bullpen role as a specialist, the number of games pitched and innings pitched will be too low.
This problem also appears when playing Perfect Team, and I think it definitely needs to be fixed. |

Seems to me if you designate a RP a specialist he's only going to come in when it's a high leverage situation and a LHB at the plate. How often does that happen? To claim he's not pitching enough you need to show that situation existed and he wasn't brought into the game.

If they are only a specialist, they'll probably end up with maybe 30-35 innings. If you use a secondary role, that should get them a few more.
This was posted in relation to PT while the league era was more towards the 70s, when relievers were used even less. So it wouldn't surprise me if that PT season relievers were getting even less, as bullpens were not used as much. |
