Problem restoring league after saving it when I uninstalled the game

I had a problem I was experiencing with my license (see this thread for reference), and now I am having trouble restoring the league I created under the previous install.

I named the save "2024 Seattle Mariners" (without quotes, obviously) and when I uninstalled the game, I chose for the game to keep the save. But I can't find it! I've gone through quite a few folders under the "2024 Seattle Mariners.lg" folder but they contain files that are either greyed out or the respective folder is blank.

So where the heck is the game stored at?!? This is just me, but I feel that there are too many folders for stuff that I have no interest in modifying (team colors, player names, uniform, ballcaps, etc.) and it's way too confusing. Why didn't the developers just code the game to only create those directories on demand instead of having 200 folders of "meaningless junk* if the player doesn't want to modify those things?

I went to the "auto save" folder under the "2024 Seattle Mariners.lg" folder but the only files I see in there are several .dat files greyed out - I seen the same type of files in other folders too. The only subfolder related to the name of the league is the "news" and "html" folder, but those have several other meaningless (to me anyway) .dat files & none of them can be selected.

Now I know darn well I saved the game when I was prompted to during the uninstall, so where the !@#$ is it?!?

I've only played about a weeks worth of games in the 2024 season so if I have no choice but to start from scratch I am willing to do that, but first I'd like to try and restore the league I created if at all possible.

This is just my opinion, but I think it would be a lot more simpler if the developers stuck to one save folder with one save file or would that just mean larger file sizes in the size of tens, possibly hundreds, of gigabytes which in turn means slower loading times of more than 5 minutes (just an arbitrary number I thought up) to load all the modified data (uniforms, team colors, player names, etc.) for those not fortunate enough to have a decent SSD or NVME drive (like I got)?

I don't mean to sound ungrateful - OOTP is an awesome game (it's the only way I can see my favorite team, the Seattle Mariners win a World Series) - but the save mechanic's need retooling in my honest opinion.
