Having trouble importing game from OOTP24-help please

I am trying to import my game from OOTP24 to OOTP25. When clicking on import game from OOTP24 I get a world.dat option to click on. It then asks for the destination file. Am I suppose to create a new file in OOTP25 for this or is it done automatically? I have tried it with and without a new file in OOTP25 but in both instances i get an error message that says 'cannot import file'. I use windows and run my OOTP through Steam. I am sure I am doing something wrong because I notice no one else seems to have this problem. Please steer me in the right direction, THANKS!

It is asking you for the world.dat file of the league you are attempting to import from 24. You need to navigate the file explorer to that folder in the OOTP24 saved directory and select the world.dat file there.
