EBL - Elite Baseball LEague - Needs 1 Good Owner

The Elite Baseball League - EBL - is looking for one solid, dedicated owner to take over the Bradenton Beach Knights.

The Knights (previously the Louisiana Voodoo / Anaheim Angels) and the have had a revolving door the past few seasons at the ownership level, and ideally I want to place a strong owner who wants to stick around. They are a good club with a solid history that should be substantially better than it is if the ownership wasnt always seemingly in flux.

The team has a solid blend of youth and vets - Ichiro, Beltre, Culpepper - and with the right owner, could be one or two cogs away from moving into the upper echelon of the league.

The EBL is one of the toughest around, with some of the best and brightest owners going (Wedge, Shaffer, Gomez, Miskowski, Vandevisse, Fuerst, Reynolds, Grassi to name just a few). In terms of competition, there are few dynasties around, and five teams have won titles in the league's six year existence.

The league originally started as an OOTP v3 league under Heath Peters in November, 2001, with 30 teams involved in an initial draft. In May, 2003, prior to the 2007 season, we moved to OOTP v5.

As a commish I am a firm believer in participation, as teams that win are invariably those whose owners give a damn and do whats necessary to either get their team to the top or keep it there. As such, for each sim, I require at least an email saying "no changes". This lets me know that at least the owner took a look at his team between sims.

I am an active owner in the league (Vancouver Armageddons) and have been since the beginning. My team is now a regular season powerhouse, thanks to one hell of a fine initial draft and some crafty trading, but the Curse always, without fail, cripples me come playoff time, almost comically finding ways to lose when it matters most.
