Game freezes on launch. Stuck "contacting servers"

Every time I launch OOTP25 the game freezes and is stuck on the main menu where it says "contacting servers." I have tried everything listed in the following thread: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=352824 . This is the first issue I have had with the game in my 145 hours on it. Performance has never been an issue and I know my laptop is more than capable to run the game.
Further information:

- I am on PC (Specifically a Lenovo Legion Slim 7 laptop.)
- I am using Windows 11 Home
- I downloaded the game through Steam
- The game freezes on startup every time, regardless of if I have opened other programs or not. There is no error message. Shortly before this started happening I set up an extra monitor so I thought the issue may be associated with that but the issue still exists when I disconnect the new monitor.
- I have created a trace file but I'm not sure how to include it in this thread. Also not sure how useful it would be given that this is an issue with the game freezing vs crashing but if there are other ways to send it, I'd be happy too.
- Any help at all would be much appreciated!

Realizing now that there is another thread of a Lenovo Legion user having the same issue. Could specifically be a Lenovo Legion issue.

It seems likely there might be a security program blocking the game from connecting to the servers. It's possible there's a specific program on the Lenovo Legion. So the first thing to do here would be to check any security programs/firewalls and whitelist OOTP in those.

Sorry, just noticed on the other thread about this that you'd mentioned having done the above already.

If you download the standalone version and install that, does the same thing happen there when you first run the game (even though you wouldn't have a license at that point, it should still load to the opening screen)?

The standalone version opens just fine. No issues running that.

I don't have any problems running any other steam games though so I'm not sure its a legion and steam issue.

Ok I just purchased the fastspring version of the game and am getting the same exact issue. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

It is actually an infinite running ootp25.exe, when I login with my PerfectTeam password

We're still looking into this but unfortunately have not really gotten enough info to track the issue down. If anyone seeing this can get us a trace file, that would be quite helpful.

i paid 50 bucks for the game and the go app. since your last two update i have had nothing but problems. it would close app the second it would open until i entered the beta. solved the first update issue. last update comes and nothing works and im forced to play strictly on go. this is not the ootp experience i love, paid for or enjoy. PLEASE HELP!!!!! i need a fix soon. its been a while and this isnt what i paid for
