License Code Doesn't Work

I bought OOTP 25 (from Fastspring), got the license key, and attempted to install it on my MacBook Air (M2 chip). I am running the latest (OS 14.4.1 Sonoma). When I try to install OOTP 25, it fails and gives me this. help, please.

Apparently, the attachment didn't attach. It's a window that says, "Activation Error" in the header and "The game could not be activated", in the box below; nothing else, no error codes, etc. Just an "OK" button that dismisses the box.

Generally this will happen if the license doesn't match the actual license. This can happen if you're manually entering it manually and get a letter wrong or even copy pasting if there's an extra space or something when you copy.

So the first step is to either try copy/pasting if you've been entering manually or manually if you've been copy pasting.

You also might want to make sure OOTP is whitelisted in your firewall/internet security, as sometimes those can block the game from communicating with the licensing server.

My firewall is turned off. Is there anywhere else on my Mac that I should check? I have been copying and pasting the password into the license key since I downloaded the app; never typed it in (too much work).

Problem solved. I deleted the original OOTP 25 I had downloaded. Then, I noticed the email I quoted from (above) had a download link. I downloaded a new version of 25, used my license key, and it worked. Thanks, Lucas, for getting back to me.
