2024 / 2025 Draft Prospects
I've been playing OOTP 25 for a few weeks now and one thing I've noticed Is the known prospects in the 2024/2025 draft have a spectacular flameout rate. It isn't until the game starts creating fictional players where the numbers improve.
For instance, ten years after the 2024 draft only 13 players total (9 position, 4 pitchers) have at least 1 year of Major League service time, exact same with the 2025 draft. 2026 has closer to 50 which feels more appropriate. I would be interested in know how many players from the 2014/2015 draft got at least 1 year of MLB service time by this point. Honestly, I have no idea, but the flameout rate seems extreme. Curious to hear what other people think. Last edited by blessyouboys2021; 04-13-2024 at 03:17 PM. |

Update:
Check out the 2014/15 Draft Classes. Lots of big leaguers here. https://www.baseball-almanac.com/dra...ft.php?yr=2014 https://www.baseball-almanac.com/dra...ft.php?yr=2015 Hopefully the game can improve on this. It's almost not even worth drafting multi-million dollar guys in the first 2 years based on the results. |

This is heavily settings dependent. What is your TCR set to? Batter/pitcher aging speed? Batter/pitcher development speed? Is disable player development checked?

Development target age was changed to "younger" and I changed development speed to 1.25 for both hitters and pitchers.
Player development is not disabled. |
