Release question and suggestion
First of all, thanks for making this game.
Now, it is question time: 1. Is the plan to get the game released in this calendar year? 2. How tailorable will the game be? My example is this: I would like to create a new league, the NAHL. 1. 20 teams, 10 Canadian 10 American - I would disband some of the American based teams(Florida, TB, Carolina, Nashville, Dallas, Phoenix, LA, Anaheim, San Jose, ect) 2. Put all of the players from the "contracted" teams in a draft pool. Hold a draft with the remaining 20 teams 3. Create 2 Conferences The Canadian and The American. 4. 2 Divisions in each 5 teams per. Division winners meet for Conference title then, Canada Champ meets American Champ How does that sound? Would I be able to do that in your game? Thanks in advance |

I hope you're able to put that together, sounds like a great league. Given any thoughts as to where the minor league teams would be, assuming those are customizable too?

Hey River,
I actually think the NHL should do this when their CBA expires in a year or so. With only 20 teams, that would be a LOT of good hockey, with ultimately Canada v USA. That wouldn't stink at all. |

Excuse me, get rid of Phoenix, you've got to be nuts, especially with a brand new building on the way. Just because the CBA ends this season, they would never get rid of a new cash cow!!!!! Maybe you need to go back, gamble a little, have a few more of those GREAT Vegas drinks, and conjur up another GREAT idea.

Jeff as a LONG TIME hockey fan I certainly understand the feeleings that hockey doesn't exactly fit in markets like AZ, FL, TX, GA
It just doesn't seem right that traditional Canadian teams go by the wayside to make room for "non-traditional" markets. I'm sure you don't understand, it's a generation gap thing.

Jeff, you're excused.
I hope I didn't offend you. I know of the great, long standing tradition and history of hockey in Arizona. I can't believe that I even made the suggestion of re-locating teams to Canada. It's not that...........I'm sorry, I can't do this with a straight face. Yes Jeff, those are my opinions. Take them or leave them. |

I used that set up with a fhl league, and it worked very well, although only a few NHL markets made it into the league. Only problem is now is that windows deleted the league lol
and btw Jeff, don't worry a bit, even if the NHL got rid of the Yotes, you guys would still have pro hockey in that WHA Franchise thats coming to Phoenix

I love the fact that you will be able to make your own version of the NHL.
Many years ago before I even bought my first PC I used to make my own (on paper) hockey leagues, I even designed uniforms for every team. This game is going to be great! |
