How to quick sim a few seasons?

I've played since OOTP9, usually in GM mode on a Standard Game. I'm wanting to try a Fictional Game - but where I sim through 5-10 years before I take over. What settings do I need to adjust so that it won't exit auto-play? If this is documented, point me to the thread please.

Manager options/auto play options, select do not disturb.

Play as the commish with no team and you should be able to select a date to sim to.
